Each of these concepts
is discussed in detail in "Sustainable Development:
Prosperity Without Growth", which is posted at the
site of Rocky
Mountain Institute.
-
- Achieving sustainable
development is an incremental process, not an overnight trasformation. Any local economy is likely to have some
unsustainable aspects and some sustainable ones. A
realistic goal it to gradually phase out unsustainable
activities and, to the extend possible, phase in
sustainable (or at least more sustainable) ones to take
their place.
